Trek To The Sacred Lakes
TREK TO THE SACRED LAKES (14 days) A wonderful trek off the beaten path, filled with wonderful scenery and ethnic Nepali cultural experience. You make your way through forests filled with rhododendron blooms during spring season. A riot of red, white and pink blooms surround you that will make you feel as if you are in paradise. As this is a new trail, you can look ahead to a peaceful and serene experience, devoid of the usual 'trekking crowd'. The trail leads to three of the holy mountain lakes - Gosainkunda, Saraswatikunda and Bhairabkunda. These lakes are sacred to the Hindus and during the full moon day in July, many Hindu pilgrims flock to Gosainkunda to take a purifying ritual bath. The breathtaking and panoramic views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Langtang Lirung and a few Tibetan peaks remain within your view throughout the trek.
